Latest Answer: I feel that my course prepared me well for a career in fashion, having a focus on both the practical and designsides of the industry. Having the option to do a placement prepared me more than anything, as i could experience first hand what working within the industry is like. Without the placement year i do not think i would have been as well prepared.

Latest Answer: Whilst at University i had access to industrial sewing machines, overlockers, steam pressing machines CAD and CAM machines and softwear.

Latest Answer: A placement was not required as part of the course but there was an option to do a placement year. As experience is invaluable in the fashion industry i chose to do this, and go a placement working for Couture Bridalwear Designer - Anita Massarella. This experience has proved invaluable to me, i learnt so much, it gave me an overall view of the industry, which i don''t feel you can be taught.
