After starting his design career creating womenswear for leading names including Betty Jackson and Red or Dead, David’s passion for graphics and fabric design led him into
sportswear design.
 
As design manager for concepts & performance apparel at Manchester-based Umbro, responsibilities include creating England’s World Cup Football kits and he’s already working on the 2010 kit. Not only does David work with the team, he also develops fabrics and styles that can deal with intense heat of the African sun – where the event takes place.
